Q: Is Pagani better than steeldive?

It really depends. Pagani is better finished, has better bracelets but have horrible lume. Steeldive has bad bracelets/clasps which you can fix the bracelet or clasp by upgrading. Personally I hate the Steeldive logo that’s why I don’t buy them. If you don’t dislike the logo go for it and upgrade the clasp or go for a rubber strap.

Q: Is Pagani better than steel/Addies?

Pagani may have maybe a 2-3 percent edge but not really enough to worry about. However, the lume on the Steel/Addies is far superior to Pagani. Since I tend to be a bit hard on my watches, I will give up a bit of polish for better function.

Q: Is steeldive a good way to buy Islander watches?

The Steeldive or equivalent route seems like a good way to get the same product at a cheaper price… the Seiko homages at least. Not the Islander unique designs. Really looking at the Monster homages .Y’all get me right here and let me know, thanks! Here is my thing. I can get the Steeldive watches I want. The Islander watches I want are never here.

If steeldive and addiesdive would upgrade their claps they would be SO much better. But sd/ad also don’t have the diverse catalogue. So there’s some give and take. If they both made the exact same watch sd/ad would be my choice every time. What style of watch are you looking for?

Steeldive and Addies Dive seem to come from the same factory, and while there have been some QC issues, water leakage seems fine. I bought mine during the Summer Sale event, for under $80, and it's an incredible value. Everything lines up perfectly, the lume is incredible, and it wears very comfortably. The bracelet is just passable.

Steeldive = Function/Utility/Dependable EDC Pagani= Fashion/occasional wear/Fake it till you make it That is not to say Paganis aren't Dependable or useful, they are- just irritating to operate the bezel and wear after dark. Great for dress watches or blingy divers though.
